Ist das ein Titel? Aber zur Sache:
Ist es nicht erstaunlich, wie sehr Geeks wie du und ich sich Gedanken darüber machen, wie sich Computer und anderes technisches Gerät in den Wohnraum und damit das Leben integrieren lassen?
Man nehme nur dieses neue MacBook Air. Oder dieses iPad. Je nachdem, was einem eben besser passt… Der ganze Sinn dieser Formfaktoren scheint ja darin zu bestehen, immer und überall dabei zu sein, respektive auf dem Couchtisch eine gute Figur zu machen. Aber der Hauptcomputer steht halt immer noch irgendwo rum. Selbst, wenn ein 13″ Air als Hauptcomputer dient, ist so ein Arbeitsplatz mit großem Bildschirm, externer Tastatur und Maus Trackball Trackpad Zeigegerät doch durch nicht sehr viel zu ersetzen…
Daher mache ich mir, obwohl ich auf absehbare Zeit keinen Schreibtisch mehr zuhaus haben werde und eigentlich auch schon ein 15″ MacBook Pro als nächster Computer eingeplant ist, hin und wieder Gedanken, was man denn da so schickes einsetzen könnte um den Hauptcomputer schick im Wohnraum zu platzieren.
Studio Desk
Mir gefällt beispielsweise dieses Studio Desk total gut:

Der Hersteller verlangt zwar geschmeidige 600 $, aber schick ist der allemal und der Verzicht auf sichtbare Kabelführung ist sicher den ein oder anderen Euro wert… Der Hersteller, Bluelounge, verkauft auch allerlei anderen Orga-Kram der auch gut auf eher normale Schreibtische passt.
BookArc Stand
Ebenfalls passend für so gut wie jeden Schreibtisch ist der BookArc Stand. Er bietet einem MacBook eine angemessene Ruhestätte während die Arbeit auf einem großen Bildschirm stattfindet. Für mich wäre das eher nichts, ich finde Multi-Monitor-Setups einfach zu praktisch…
Auch dieser Hersteller, Twelve South, hat noch so einige andere Design-Höhepunke im Angebot. Besonders für das iPad gibt es gelungene Lösungen für die Aufbewahrung und den Transport des schmucken Computers.
WallDock
Aber kommen wir mal lieber zu realistischen und trotzdem sehr praktischen Helfern. Mit dem Walldock kann man Steckdosen zu praktischen iPhone-Ladestationen umfunktionieren. Und in der Küche hat man gleichzeitig eine Möglichkeit, das Rezept des gerade herzustellenden Gerichts in einem angenehmen Lesewinkel vor sich zu haben.
So eine Ladestation wäre vor allem deshalb praktisch, weil wir an dem mini im Wohnzimmer nur ein Dock haben…
iMac mini Schreibtisch
Wir haben daheim vor wenigen Tagen Wochen unseren Esstisch um Wohnzimmer um 90° gedreht. Er steht nun nicht mehr mit der langen, sondern mit der schmalen Seite an der Wand. Auf diese Art und Weise haben wir Platz geschaffen, um ein Sideboard oder eine Vitrine oder ähnliches stellen zu können. Sollte das aber vielleicht doch nicht so schrecklich nötig sein, so könnte man ja einen sehr schmalen Schreibtisch aus Ikea-Standard Teilen bauen:

Nein, ergonomisch sieht das nicht gerade aus, und nein, vielleicht ist das auch nicht so richtig praktisch. Eventuell entpuppt sich das auch in Kombination mit einem 27″ iMac als nicht sonderlich stabil und dann fiele dieser iMac ja herunter…
Aber: Es sieht total super aus, ist gar nicht so teuer und allein weil es geht beschäftigt mich das sehr…
