Internet Explorer ist böse? Jeder sollte Firefox benutzen?

Wie ihr sicherlich bereits festgestellt habt, hat sich auf instant-thinking.de so einiges geändert.

SnipSnap, das Bliki System das mir treue Dienste geleistet hatte, musste aus verschiedenen Gründen gehen. Es wird kaum weiterentwickelt und ist nicht gerade elegant zu benutzen. Das Server-Backend ist eher langsam und auch nicht das allerstabilste auf der Welt.

Sehr schade ist es um die integrierte Wiki Funktionalität. Ich muss wohl das Blog und das Wiki voneinander trennen und dann wieder zusammenführen. Mal sehen wie gut mir das gelingt…

Als Blog System bereits installiert ist Typo. Zu finden ist instant-thinking.de ab sofort unter der Domain selbst, unter www.instant-thinking.de und unter blog.instant-thinking.de. Die alte Startseite instant-thinking.de/space/start wird dank mod_rewrite auch auf instant-thinking.de umgeleitet. Das Wiki wird unter wiki.instant-thinking.de zu finden sein, die Gallery lebt unverändert unter gallery.instant-thinking.de.

Die Feeds (Blog Postings und Wiki Änderungen) von SnipSnap müssen noch umgeleitet werden, der “Über-Feed” ist dank Feedburner bereits mit dem aktuellen Feed gefüttert… Wer auf Nummer sicher gehen möchte abboniert den neuen Feed hier und/oder den Kommentare Feed hier.

Das Design ist bis jetzt erst so leidlich angepasst und ich plane noch einiges an Änderungen und überlege sogar auf blau und das Achterbahnbild zu verzichten… Aber zunächst mal die beiden wichtigsten Punkte:

1. Ein Wiki System finden, unter wiki.instant-thinking.de installieren und so gut es geht in die Seite integrieren.
2. Die alten Inhalte aus Blog und Wiki aus der SnipSnap Datenbank bergen, nach Blog und Wiki aufteilen, in Markdown konvertieren und in die neuen Systeme einfügen. Wenns geht die alten Links per mod_rewrite auf die neuen Orte umleiten.

Punkt zwei ist bestimmt nicht so einfach, und wenn ich das habe bin ich schon sehr stolz auf mich.

An dieser Stelle möchte ich mich bei meinem fantastischen Hoster Florian bedanken der mir sehr bei dem Umzug geholfen hat und sogar noch einen 4.0er MySQL Dump meiner Datenbank in der Rückhand hatte.

Solltet ihr jemals überlegen euch Webspace zu mieten mit dem man was anfangen kann (Alles was es an aktiven Inhalten gibt, SSH, you name it,…) der auch noch Support beinhaltet der den Namen verdient, schaut euch bei myhosting.de um.

Das ist keine Werbung, einfach nur eine Empfehlung eines extrem zufriedenen Kunden.

Ich denke nächste Woche lässt das Real Life mal wieder ein bisschen locker und dann gibt es hier auch öfters mal wieder neues zu sehen.
