<p>Ich glaube eigentlich nicht, dass das hierzulande gro&#223; anders ausschaut.</p>

<p>Eine kurze, wenig repr&#228;sentative Umfrage unter den Mitbewohnern f&#246;rderte folgende Ergebnisse zutage:</p>

<ul>
<li>Die Ehefrau: Kennt die Funktion, wurde ihr mal von einer Arbeitskollegin in Excel gezeigt.</li>
<li>Der Sohn: Kennt die Funktion bisher nicht, nimmt Computer und deren Unbillen eh noch nicht so ernst da man an ihnen nicht lecken darf. </li>
<li>Die Katze: Kennt die Funktion vermutlich, schweigt aber beharrlich da jedes Ausplaudern in ihrer Geheimsekte mit schlimmen Dingen bestraft wird&#8230;</li>
</ul>

<p>Meine Wenigkeit nutzt Suchfunktionen allerorten mit Inbrunst. Wenn ich in <a href="http://www.vim.org/" class="liexternal">Vim</a> in einer Datei die gesuchte Stelle sehe, aber nicht binnen Millisekunden erkennen kann, wie ich mit Bewegungskommandos da hin komme, wird <em>sofort</em> die Suchfunktion benutzt. Wir sparen hier jeden Tastenanschlag, irgendwie muss man ja das <a href="http://vimgolf.com/" class="liexternal">Vimgolf</a> Handicap verbessern.</p>

<p>Daher hier als kostenlose Dienstleistung an der Menschheit: Benutzt <code>Cmd-F</code> oder, wenn ihr nicht auf einem Mac unterwegs seid, <code>Ctrl-F</code>, um Dinge in Dokumenten schnell zu finden. In 99 % aller F&#228;lle ist das Suchen mit den Tasten schneller als das Suchen mit den Augen und dem Scrollwheel.</p>
