Mit BibDesk Titel aus dem GVK importieren

Der GVK ist der frei zugängliche Ausschnitt der Verbunddatenbank mit den für die Fernleihe und Direktlieferdienste relevanten Materialien. Im GVK sind über 29,8 Mio. Titel (…) nachgewiesen.

Mit BibDesk1, diesem genialen Stück Software zur Literaturverwaltung im BibTeX-Format auf dem Mac, kann man sich in vielen Fällen das manuelle Eintragen von Titeln sparen.

Man trage dazu den Gemeinsamen Verbundkataloges (GVK) des Gesamtverzeichnisses der norddeutschen Bibliotheken wie folgt unter “Searches – New Search Group” in BibDesk ein:

Darauf achten, das Z39.50 als Protokoll gewählt wird, das verdeckte Passwort lautet “abc”.

Sinnigerweise kann man dann auch direkt ein Bookmark setzen um die Suche später schnell wieder zu finden.

So macht es schon fast richtig Spaß, das Literaturverzeichnis zu pflegen und Recherche zu weiteren Titeln zu betreiben.
