Nur noch drei Tage bis die Jungs in der Schweiz endlich den LHC anhauen und unseren Planeten¹ mit ein paar lokalen Mini Black Holes versorgen. Auf dem Weg dahin wurde immerhin so nebenbei das Web erfunden…

Kritiker des LHC befürchten nämlich, dass bei den Partikelkollisionen, die der Beschleuniger auslösen wird, ziemlich ekelige Phänomene wie zB “schwarze Mini-Löcher” erzeugt werden, die, falls sich die Physiker geirrt haben, auch gleich mal ratzfatz den gesamten Planeten binnen Millisekunden auf die Größe eines Sandkorns verdichten… nicht schön, nicht fair, aber zwei entscheidende Vorteile hätte das ganze:

• Dinge wie “Subprime”-Krise und ähnliches wären dann endgültig auf den ihnen zukommenden Rang von Trivialia verwiesen
• Die Menschheit käme sich buchstäblich so nah, wie nie zuvor

Ganz ehrlich, ich freu mich schon drauf ein paar Higgs-Bosons und der gesamten Menschheit die klitzekleinen Händchen zu schütteln…
