Seit Mac OS X 10.4.9 muss man, ein PAN unterstützendes Mobiltelefon vorausgesetzt, sich nicht mehr mit PPP und DialUp-Scripten rumschlagen um mit einem Mac über ein Handy online zu gehen.

Der Mac hat dann ein “richtiges” Interface mit einer Public-IP und die ganzen obsoleten AT-Kommandos gehören der Vergangenheit an. Wenn das eigene Telefon traurigerweise kein PAN unterstützt gibt es keine bessere Einführung in die Materie als Rui Carmos HowTo Setup GPRS/UMTS Access on a Mac.
